“ Brought a big crowd to the Mariner for Mother’s Day. Everything and Everyone was exceptional. The outside seating is awesome! Live music great weather made for a perfect day. With the amount of people there you would have thought service would have been a little slow. It was fast and courteous. Food was very good, I believe we got everything on the menu. Happy Mother’s Day was certainly obtained going to the Mariner. We will be back soon. The live music topped off a great day. ”

I stand to be corrected on the food as our table of 14 had several different dishes and everyone seemed to be really enjoying their meals and only one had enough left over to get a take home box. As a vegetarian, I think a seafood restaurant had better have really good cheese grits and this one does not. But, even with a large party, the service was great, the servers and managers seemed to be glad we were there, and the sunset view over the river was well appreciated. ”
“ Beautiful place to eat. We went around nighttime and wanted to sit outside, but they warned us of termites coming out so we sat inside. Our server was so much fun and seemed to really enjoy joking around with us and offering tips of different menu items. She even bonded with me over my dislike of seafood. The food was delicious and the portions were better than most places. They also had live music and the guy singing was pretty great! ”
“ The Grand Mariner Restaurant and Marina was everything we hoped for! Quaint local place on the water, very sweet owners, friendly service, water view, and varied yummy food offerings. Hubby began with a loaded bloody Mary... it was a complete appetizer, lol. Such fun! See photos! I had my first pina colada of the trip and it was good. Today they had a special soup offering... crab corn bisque. Hubby and I both had a cup of that. Delicious! We enjoyed our window view our whole dining experience. I ordered fried fish with onion rings; Hubby ordered grilled fish with corn. Both selections were excellent. My fried fish was the best I have ever eaten; the tasty crust was perfectly crisp and the white fish was flaky and tender, not greasy. The onion rings had their special breading; they were so tasty I didn’t even want any ketchup, lol. We were ready to leave but got tempted by a rum (bushwacker) shake. Hubby ordered one and we shared. It, too, was excellent. After our meal we went out on the dining deck to enjoy the full view. It was too cool to eat outside today but know it would be delightful on a comfortable day. We highly recommend this local jewel. We were just passing thru Mobile and wanted a seafood lunch. It was perfect! ”
